The Thonon Cycling Race by Ekoi is a round of the French Cycling Federation’s Trophée Label d’Or, a certification that recognizes France’s most beautiful cyclosportives.

Set against an exceptional backdrop, between the waters of Lake Geneva and the Chablais mountains, the Thonon Cycling Race stands out as the ideal event to kick off the season. Friendly, accessible, and challenging all at once, it allows everyone to have fun, regardless of their skill level, while discovering an exceptional region.

For this 7th edition, the routes have been redesigned to offer even more riding enjoyment and variety, while remaining accessible to as many participants as possible. The three timed routes, as well as the leisure ride, will head toward the Col de Jambaz, the true gateway to the Vallée Verte.

As in 2026, the Petit Parcours will conclude with the challenging Col du Feu, offering a finish that is as demanding as it is spectacular, while the Rando will descend directly toward Thonon-les-Bains after the Col de Jambaz.

The Medium Course will feature two climbs that are popular with participants: the Col du Perret and the Côte de Ludran, which this year replace the difficult Col du Cou via Les Ruppes. A smoother route, without losing any of its character.

The Grand Parcours, meanwhile, will continue its adventure to the Col du Cou, this time via its historic side—a climb we haven’t included in the course for several years. Participants will then discover a new addition: the Col des Arces, short but particularly steep, before reaching the magnificent vistas of the Col du Feu. This unique sequence of climbs promises superb panoramic views and a thrilling sporting challenge.

This edition will showcase the Vallée Verte and the Haut-Chablais more than ever before, with quiet roads, unspoiled landscapes, and numerous exceptional viewpoints overlooking Lake Geneva and the surrounding peaks.

As in 2026, and to ensure everyone’s safety, the timing will be neutralized between Le Lyaud and the descent toward Thonon-les-Bains.

One tradition, however, remains unchanged: the quality of the refreshment stations. You’ll find a wide selection of savory and sweet treats, as well as many local specialties, including the must-try potato fritters. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a friendly moment with fellow cycling enthusiasts or to recharge your energy before heading back toward the finish line.

Whether you’re a competitor aiming for a personal best, a cyclist preparing for your season’s major goals, or simply someone who loves beautiful roads and exceptional scenery, the Thonon Cycling Race by Ekoi promises an unforgettable sporting and social experience.

Please note: e-bikes (in touring mode, unclassified) are permitted on the Rando, the Petit Parcours, and the Moyen Parcours.
