A mix of roads, paths and trails.
The Gravel event is now a fixture on the programme, bringing together competitors and nature lovers. Year after year, the course has been perfected and the safety of participants has improved. For 2025, there’s a change of direction! It’s a chance to shake things up with a new start. And yet the route is as physically challenging as ever, with a variety of surfaces: footpaths, marshes, vineyard paths, white roads, undergrowth and even fields.
Two routes
The discipline is becoming more established and the codes are being written. The organisers note that the competition format only involves a minority of participants. Signposting will be maintained on the 60 km format, but the general classification and the marshals will be abolished in 2025. So you can enjoy the scenery to the full. This will also have an impact on the price, which should motivate even more people.
New in 2025: a new ‘long’ format of around one hundred kilometres. The first part will be a 60-kilometre signposted route around Thonon, followed by a second autonomous section with GPS guidance on the other side of the Dranse, on the Gavot. Peace and quiet guaranteed!
For both formats, only an individual time will be given.
NB: Mountain bikes and e-bikes are permitted.
